Here’s our competition coffee for the Nordics Best Roaster 2026 competition!
Please note: This coffee is sold in our new Special Edition 100g glass jars. Due to the very limited quantity, we are currently shipping coffee from our 12th of February 2026 roast (the actual competition roast!), and we will not roast a new batch until this one has sold out. The coffee is at its best around three weeks after roasting, and remains excellent for about one month after that.
This is a washed Geisha grown by Audina Perez in Cajamarca, Peru. A truly unique and remarkable coffee, it has gone through an extended fermentation before washing, which gives it a complex and layered flavor profile. Juicy and sweet, with notes of pineapple, red liqourice, and the floral character typical of the Geisha variety. It was a hectic to get the coffee in time to Finland but at the end it arrived. We are happy for this as it is such a beautiful coffee!
The coffee was first fermented for 72 hours in sealed bags, followed by another 72 hours in parchment without water. After that, it was washed, but with a small amount of parchment left on the surface of the bean. It was then dried for about 15 days in a covered drying area. This precise and demanding processing method is what gives the coffee its complex flavor profile.
Audina puts a great deal of precision into processing, especially fermentation, which she manages carefully and systematically through observation, tasting, and adjustment, always aiming for a clean and balanced final cup. Audina’s farm, El Romerillo, is located in San José del Alto, Cajamarca, at around 1,750 meters above sea level, where conditions are ideal both for even cherry maturation and for precise post-harvest processing. The farm is 2 hectares in size. It is a young farm, only four years old, and produced its first harvest only last year. The farm is run by Audina, with help from her children, who are also involved in production.
