Vuoden 2025 todellinen tilinpäätös

The Real Numbers Behind 2025

As the year 2025 has come to an end we'd like to take a moment to recap.

Over the past year, we’ve made many improvements across our website, our communications, and our roastery. We’ve developed our production processes and quality control, and throughout the year we’ve also invested in several new machines to improve and speed up production. On top of that, at the end of last year we upgraded to a new 25 kg Probat roaster. We hope these developments have been reflected in the taste of your cup as well.

It’s been an amazing year — full of growth, new coffees, big and small achievements, trade fairs, and competition wins. We dove into the statistics and found all kinds of interesting data that might interest you too.

Below is GLC’s “true financial statement” for 2025. At the end of the blog, we’ll also share some thoughts about the year ahead.

Our 2025 in numbers

Roasted coffee in total 16448kg.

In green coffee, this equals more than 19,000 kilos of coffee. From this amount of roasted coffee, an estimated 2.35 million cups of coffee have been brewed.

Purchased green coffee: 46 coffees

Over the past year, we purchased a total of 46 different coffees. These coffees came from 11 different countries of origin: Brazil, Burundi, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, Kenya, Peru, and Rwanda.

Green coffee top3 origins: Colombia, Rwanda, Ethiopia.

Of the 46 green coffees purchased during the year, the largest share came from Colombia, with no fewer than 14 different coffees. Next was Rwanda with 8 coffees, followed by Ethiopia in third place.

Competitions won in 2025: 3

Woop! We reached the top of the podium in three competitions:
Kahveista Parhain: Best Dark Roast – Shyira Honey, Rwanda
Kahveista Parhain: Best Light Roast – Danche Washed, Ethiopia
Roastery of the Year: Helsinki Coffee Festival 2025 – 1st place

In addition, we placed well in several other coffee competitions, even if we didn’t quite take home the win.

Most sold web shop coffees: Danche, Shyira, Decaf

It’s no surprise that the award-winning coffees are also among the top sellers in our online store.

Number of web shop deliveries: 2180

About 16% of our orders are ground, while roughly 84% are sold as whole beans. Deliveries have been shipped to 22 countries, with the most orders going to Germany, the USA, and Sweden after Finland.

A few more fun facts

  • Roastery team size: 4 + 1 = 5
  • Number of cuppings per year: approx. 110 → number of coffees tasted: at least a billion
  • Busiest roasting week of the year: In August, we roasted 53 batches, totaling 1,060 kilos of roasted coffee. That week, the roaster was running hot for about 13.5 hours in total.
  • Origin trips to coffee farms: 4 trips
  • Coffee trade fairs attended: 3

What does GLC’s 2026 look like? ✨

As the year comes to a close, it’s also time to take a look ahead.

At the heart of everything: great coffee

We’ll continue working closely with trusted farmers and green coffee partners, while always keeping our ears open for new suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality coffee for our customers. The core focus remains the most important thing: great coffee. In the coming year, we’ll also be supported by a new Color Sorter machine, which removes unwanted beans—such as those that are too light or too dark—from the roasted coffee.

In addition to having our roasting operations dialed in, we also have big plans for the future of Good Life Coffee. Something new might be coming next year. 😉

New coffees

All in all, 2026 is shaping up to be a very tasty year. New coffees are already on their way and will be released in our online store early in the year. Expect fresh harvests from Colombia, fancy Geishas, and—after a long time—some exciting coffees from Ecuador. We’ll share more about these next year, so stay tuned!

Competitions and trade fairs

And let’s not forget that early next year we’ll once again be competing in the Nordic Best Roaster competition, where we’ve already made it into the Top 10 in the preliminary round. During the coming year, we also plan to be visible at other coffee trade fairs both in Finland and internationally. We’ll be traveling to Denmark for the Danish Coffee Festival and to the Netherlands for the Amsterdam Coffee Festival, and of course we’ll be traditionally present at the Helsinki Coffee Festival and other possible coffee events.

In the coming year, we also aim to further develop our website and produce more engaging coffee-related content. If you have any feedback or wishes, we’d love to hear from you. You can email us at info@goodlifecoffee.fi or slide into our DMs on Instagram.

Thank you for the past year, and have an amazing New Year 2026!

Finally, we want to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to all of you—online store customers, roastery visitors, event attendees, and coffee enthusiasts. Without you, there would be no us. ❤️
