This coffee from Sergio Julcarima's farm is an excellent example of what Peruvian coffee can be at its best: smooth and balanced, delicately fruity and sweet. It’s the kind of coffee you’ll gladly enjoy cup after cup. In its flavor, you may find notes of yellow fruit, macadamia nuts, and honey.

Grown in the heart of Peru, in the Junín region, this coffee thrives on the high (2150m) slopes of the Andes, on the edge of the jungle, in a beautiful environment where the climate and conditions are ideal for coffee cultivation. Sergio is a third-generation coffee farmer. After finishing school, he decided to dedicate himself to farming, following in his parents’ footsteps. They gave him two hectares of land, where he planted his first coffee trees along with other fruit crops. As a child, Sergio had followed the work of his father and grandfather closely, so he quickly found his rhythm in the world of coffee. You can taste that experience in his coffees, which are clean and high in quality – a reflection of the care and precision taken throughout the farming process.

The journey of this exceptional coffee begins with a meticulous process on the farm, starting with selective harvesting, where only ripe coffee cherries are handpicked. After that, the whole cherries undergo controlled dry fermentation for 12 hours, after which the pulp is removed using a depulper. This is followed by a second fermentation in sealed black plastic bags for 46 hours. Finally, the coffee is washed and sun-dried for about 10–12 days. This attention to detail ensures that the coffee’s unique flavors and characteristics are preserved.
