We sourced this very special and limited batch of coffee from Colombia for this year’s Helsinki Coffee Festival. The coffee is of the Geisha variety, anaerobically fermented, and processed using the natural method. Each of these three characteristics alone brings unique nuances to the cup—let alone what they create together. This is truly an exceptional coffee!
The Geisha variety is globally known for its elegant, exotic and floral flavor profile. Natural processing enhances the coffee’s sweetness and ripe fruity notes, while anaerobic fermentation adds further complexity and a hint of “funk” to the coffee. We especially recommend this coffee for filter brewing, but the roast also works wonderfully as an espresso.
Behind this coffee is Alberto Marinez, a first-generation coffee grower who began his journey 15 years ago when he bought his 5-hectare La Parada farm. Alberto works alongside his wife and children in the village of Arenosa in the Huila region, at an altitude of around 2,000 meters.
The jar holds 200g of coffee. 1kg product comes in our kilo bag.
